Event Planning Internship

With over 50 years of combined experience we help with catering, venue rental and full-service A-Z production. WOW! Events has hundreds of unique venues and many are hidden gems. Our vast inventory of impressive entertainment & décor options will leave employees, clients & guests talking about your event long after it ends.

Overview:

Event Production Intern will work directly with the Event Producer Assistant/Coordinator. They will assist in producing our events that happen year-round. Interns will be trained in event sales support & planning support and in the execution of events. Interns will see the A-Z process of event planning and become knowledgeable about many venues WOW! Events use.

  • Unpaid Internship, College Credited
  • Must work 15-20 hours a week
  • Work Hours (Monday-Friday 10AM – 5:30PM)
  • Some weekends if needed

  • Find Impressive Photos of Priority venues WOW! Sells
  • Cold Calling to Schedule Prospect Meetings
  • Prepare items for Event Producers sales meetings
  • Create Sales Power Point Presentations
  • Send Thank you/Nice Meeting You Cards
  • Assist in Preparation of Planning Meetings
  • Assist in Preparation of Sales Meetings
  • Create Proposals for Future Events
  • New Vendor Research
  • New Vendor Qualification
  • Create Floor Plans using Social Tables
  • Miscellaneous Research
  • Find short videos related to our 15 WOW! Basics

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma with some course work in college
  • Interest in Event Planning
  • Good Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Must have Driver Licenses and Vehicle for Transportation
  • Must be Detail Oriented
  • Willing to adhere to our WOW! Basics
  • Must be able to Multi-Task
  • Must Have a Good Work Ethic
  • Must be Willing to Engage, Learn, and Have Fun
  • Should be able to work independently as well as a team
